Overview
Provides culturally grounded support during pregnancy, labour, and postpartum. Integrates traditional teachings, ceremony, and community knowledge to ensure families receive culturally safe and meaningful care.
What You’ll Do
- Provide prenatal education and care navigation.
- Offer continuous emotional, physical, and informational support during birth (non‑clinical).
- Provide postpartum support and help connect families to community services.
- Work collaboratively with midwives, nurses, families, and Elders.
Prerequisites
- Grade 12 diploma (Regular, Adult 12, or GED).

Education & Qualifications
- Birth support/doula training an asset.
