Overview
Leads emergency preparedness, planning, and response efforts for community emergencies such as natural disasters, public health events, or hazardous material incidents. Emergency Response Coordinators support risk assessments, training, communication, and multi‑agency coordination.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and test community emergency response plans.
- Train staff and volunteers; coordinate emergency responses.
- Liaise with local, provincial, and federal agencies.
- Complete after‑action reviews and improvement plans.
Prerequisites
- Grade 12 diploma (Regular, Adult 12, or GED).
- Diploma or degree in Emergency Management, Public Health, Project Management, or related field.
