Primary Pathway: Administration
Overview
Human Resource Advisors support employees and organizational leaders by delivering fair, consistent, culturally safe HR practices. They provide expertise in recruitment, onboarding, performance, employee relations, policy interpretation, and workplace engagement. HR Advisors help ensure compliance with legislation, promote equity and respectful workplaces, and act as a key liaison between programs, leadership, and staff.
They play a vital role in maintaining a positive organizational culture and supporting staff throughout the full employment lifecycle.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate job postings, applicant screening, and onboarding processes
- Advise employees and leaders on policy, benefits, and performance management
- Support training, wellness, and employee engagement initiatives
- Manage HR data, employee files, reporting, and compliance requirements
- Assist with conflict resolution, coaching, and workplace concerns
- Support implementation of HR programs and organizational changes
Prerequisites
- Grade 12 diploma (Regular Grade 12, Adult 12, or GED)
- Post‑secondary education in Human Resources or Business Administration recommended
- CPHR coursework or designation is an added advantage

- Ability to maintain accurate records and use HR information systems
