Primary Pathway: Public Health
Overview
Reduces environmental health risks through inspections, public education, and compliance monitoring. EHOs ensure safe water, food, housing, waste systems, and environmental practices across communities.
What You’ll Do
- Inspect water systems, food facilities, and public buildings.
- Investigate environmental hazards and community complaints.
- Provide education on environmental safety and risk reduction.
- Support community response to environmental health concerns.
Prerequisites
- Grade 12 diploma (Regular, Adult 12, or GED).
- Must complete Environmental Health or Public Health degree.
