Program Overview
Information Technology (IT) is the use of computers, electronic filing and storage systems, network systems and other devices to create, process, store, secure and exchange electronic data. The main components of IT are hardware and software:
- Hardware: Computers, laptops, smartphones, monitors, printers, servers, routers, switches, wireless access points
- Software: Windows operating system, MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), databases, web browsers, financial systems
The NITHA Sr. Network Technologist has two main duties:
- To maintain the local area network at the NITHA office
- To provide advanced network support to the NITHA partners
- Researches, tests, and evaluates new technologies and helps develop standards for hardware equipment and system configurations.
